Staycation in Marriott Hotel Manila

We had planned on a staycation at the Marriott Hotel Manila after we stayed there for a night two years ago, courtesy of the hotel which my wife won in a raffle. It was my birthday but unfortunately, I was not feeling well and not able to enjoy our stay as much as I wanted to.

This time, however, my wife had to work till 7 pm as there was a wedding fair being held at the hotel. So it was just my daughter and I who spent the whole afternoon. We were given a room on the 6th floor of the 8-storey hotel.

The room has two double beds with each bed having four fluffy pillows. My daughter loved the bed as she will be having four pillows all to her own. A large LCD television is located just at the foot of the bed. The room has two chairs by the window and a workstation where you can plug in your laptop computer. What I like about their electric outlet is it is universal where almost any kind of plug will fit into.

The room also comes with two pairs of house slippers and matching bathrobes. The bathroom has lots of towels and bath supplies, like toothbrushes, soap, shampoo and conditioner, etc.

Stackers Burger, Anyone?

Of all the days to have a staycation at the Marriott Hotel, it had to happen today where a number of events are being held. The hotel is holding a wedding fair at its Grand Ballroom while the nearby Newport Mall has a Smart Internet launching. These made most of the dining places full.

We were just supposed to have a cheap dinner by having burgers from Mcdonald's at the 4th level of the Newport Mall where the 4 cinemas and a lot of restaurants are located. However, because of the two events, the place was full and so with most of the more affordable dining places.

We opted to have Stackers burger, where we had already eaten once.

How a Family of Three Spends Less than P1000 for a Day at the Mall

How does a family of three spend one whole day in a mall with less than P1000 to spend? Use a lot of group buying vouchers, ha ha ha

Travel doesn't mean you have to go far away from where you live. It is the company you keep that makes travelling, whether near or far, more fun.

My daughter has been bugging us for a long time to take her skating again. It's been a while since she did this activity and we thought of taking advantage of a deal which costs one day unlimited skating at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) for only P220 instead of the regular P390. We plan to go there as soon as the mall opens so that she can maximize her time on the ice.
