Army Navy: Burger + Burrito

After the wife and daughter had their hair done at a salon in Better Living, we decided to have lunch at the restaurant just beside it.

Sands of Time

Nope, I am not referring to the video game of Prince of Persia but about the small sample of sands I have collected from various beaches that I've been to over a period of 9 years.

I love beaches. I love the waves hitting the beach or me while I swim near the shore. I love feeling the sand under my feet.

So, to remind me of the beaches that my family had been to, I've started collecting a little sand from each of them. Whether it's gray, black, cream or white. Coarse or powdery, I try to get some, that is if I don't forget to collect some.

Shawarma Lunch at Behrouz Persian Cuisine

Whenever we do our grocery at Shopwise in Sucat and we still haven't had lunch yet, we normally eat at Behrouz. It's just across the grocery and located at Santana Grove where a lot of food establishments may be found. We prefer Behrouz because it's affordable, the service is quick and we like shawarma very much.
Arriving in Sucat at about 2 PM straight from Laguna, we parked our car at Shopwise and went to Behrouz for lunch before doing our grocery. Aside from a corner table where there were two ladies eating, we were the only clients there. A blast of cold air greeted us as we went in, compared to the afternoon heat we just came from. We took a booth and thought for a while on what to order (as if we are not decided yet on what to eat, ha ha ha).

My wife ordered shawarma rice (P150). It consisted of a plate of bastmati rice and a plate of beef, tomato, onion and cucumber. She ordered a slice of butter to mix with the rice (Starice?).

A Taste of Thai - Sen Lek Thai Noodle

We decided to have dinner at BF Home Sucat tonight to celebrate my wife's birthday. A VT buddy recommended that we eat at Tito Chef Restaurant along President Avenue. Unfortunately, there was no available parking and the place looked full. So we decided to cruise along the avenue looking for an alternative place to eat.

My wife didn't fancy any of the restaurants along President Avenue but said she saw a Thai restaurant and wanted to try that instead. As I was driving, I told her to tell me if we are near the restaurant so I can slow down to where it is. Surprisingly, it was just beside Tito Chef Restaurant and there were available parking spaces. No longer thinking twice, we immediately parked in front of it.

The interior is well lighted with about three booths beside the window and a number of tables by the wall and in the middle. We were hoping to get a booth but all were occupied so we contented ourselves to a table at the back.

The Responsible Tourist and Traveller

"Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time." I think this sums up what a responsible traveller should be.

While browsing through the internet, I stumbled upon a link on "The Responsible Tourist and Traveller". Apparently its brochure has been approved by the World Committee on Tourism Ethics (WCTE) in May 2005 and endorsed by the UN World Tourism Organization (WTO), a United Nations agency in charge for the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accepted tourism, and adopted at Dakar, Senegal in December 2005, by which the General Assembly recommended the dissemination of this text to the travelling public worldwide.
